Movie Night

Tuesday evening was a fun night with one of my best friends, Sandy~ It would have been more fun with Jess.. but she's so far in Australia (miss you so much!! ;-;).

Watched:
How To Train Your Dragon 2 -- We arrived relatively close to movie time and it was packed!!! So many people.. especially because it's summer and Tuesday night special. However, we managed to have a good seat not too close to the screen.
It was so very good.. I really want the concept art books for both movies. The art work is so pretty~

After watching HTTYD 2, we had some time to get bubble tea from Lambie's.. smuggled in our drinks and got some good seats for Maleficent [3D]. The story plot was conceptually different but interesting. It gave a new interpretation to Maleficent's character to the usual Sleeping Beauty story.

Movie Magic!

It's the first time I have used Adobe After Effects not too long starting to use Flash and it was quite a lot of fun learning. Although in all honesty, I had some trouble understanding how the program worked in the beginning. Here is my first project with one of my Mother Nature/Mother Earth illustration.

MAMA

Today was unexpectedly warm and went to the movies with one of my best friends and her friend too! The movie Mama was actually quite interesting. I enjoyed the suspenseful "oh shit oh shit ohhh shit"-moments haha, as well as the plot. Usually horror/thriller movies don't have a good story and mainly have gore and blood as the scare (not my preference of horror).

But I definitely recommend watching Mama!
For those who haven't watched or got the chance to catch it in theaters or.. don't have money to spare to watch in theaters: MAMA (2013). Enjoy~

Hello 2013!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable fun day celebrating and counting down to the new year! I had a pretty good hot pot dinner at my relative's home. I didn't do much celebrating this year.. well I don't really celebrate the new year, haha! It's the Lunar New Year that counts for me.

My neighbor celebrated with fireworks in their backyard and my parents watched the HK countdown to the 2013. xD

Horror and Mystery..

It's been a very long while since I've felt my heart beat so rapidly while watching a horror movie. The suspense and eerie atmosphere while watching Sinister is quite thrilling. I could feel chills creeping up and down my spine while I watched by myself. Honestly, I don't have the volume up that high either.. nor have the lights off.. but if I did, I'd be too scared to watch alone haha;;;

Snow White and the Huntsman

A late night movie, Snow White and the Huntsman~ It was a movie that I've wanted to watch for awhile because of the slight plot twist on the fairy tale.. and as well as the actors/actresses in the film, haha~ ♥

The Man With The Iron Fists

I've mention this movie roughly around a month ago after I watched Paranormal Activity 4 with my besties and her friends too. Unfortunately, many of my friends are busy with school and coming exams.. but that didn't stop me from watching the movie on my own! But I have to say, it was an interesting movie with a few comical relief moments and sexual innuendo.

It would have been more fun to watch with others and laugh together, but oh well.. That's all for today's short blerb~ c:

Movie Night

After the past day of cloudy weather, the sunlight shone through the clouds once again.. though I prefer a moderate sunny day, rain with a little bit of thunder is quite good too.

Anywho~ Today's little blerb is just a short opinion on the movie, Paranormal Activity 4. Let's just say.. it was quite disappointing. I haven't watched the first three movies, since they didn't seem particularly interesting. However, I laugh and joke throughout the movie.. in my opinion, it wasn't scary at all. The "suspense" made it quite boring since it dragged on.. and on.. sighs. I don't recommend it. Unless you're up for some jokes, facepalm moments and lots of yawning~!!

Thriller Refreshment!

It's been quite a long time since I last watched a scary movie that involuntarily makes you let out a startled "ah!"and then laugh it off later or.. that could just be me, haha~ xD

A little bit of my commentary while I was watching Battle Royale..
These are my opinions and sarcasm.

All In A Day's Travels..

It's the start of a new month!! Yesterday was the Mid-Autumns Festival too (just remembered) I hope you had lots of yummy moon cake!~

Today was a decent day with a bit of a cool breeze. It was warm enough for people who are less affected by the slightly nipping wind, but I decided to wear an Autumn coat. The meeting spot was a little farther than expected, but the travel was pretty simple, luckily. Though I was quite nervous to nap on the bus.. in case I missed the stop. It's a good thing didn't get lost, haha! But anyway, I had another successful day with selling my old merchandise: anime wall scrolls, posters, and other collectibles. It took longer than expected, almost a 2 hour trip.. going to Finch Station and then and hour's travel farther West. Finally got home around late afternoon.. tired and hungry from the long bus rides and walk home. Cooked something quick and chowed down.. nom nom nom.. and relaxed to a movie: Battle Royale (link to full movie with Eng subs~ Enjoy!).

Movie Blurb..~

I had a fun evening with friends yesterday, especially with the movie: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter~
To put it simply without spoiling, it's basically a taking the historical saga of Abraham Lincoln and adding a twist of fantasy/supernatural and dark comedy, thus the title, Vampire Hunter.

To be honest, it was a good movie; dark comedy, blood and violence, thriller.. I recommend this movie to history buffs looking for some comedy relief as well as Tim Burton fans~!! I really enjoyed the suspense in this movie, and of course, the dark humor was great.
