Distance..!

It's been a month commuting back and forth from home to work and back.. the travel is long and my backpack is always heavy. BUT.. It's all worth it! I truly enjoy working with animals, as frustrating they may be at times, but I am constantly learning; from the groomer, the dogs, and about the "order of command" in the workplace. It has been a lot of fun and I continue to look forward to it!

The weather is turning chillier by the day, so dress warm! And like the Starks of Winterfell say "Winter is Coming"!

Fundraiser: NTCR!

I have recently found out that THIS YEAR is the North Toronto Cat Rescue (NTCR) shelter's final year before they are booted off the land for a new shopping mall!! They are in dire need of support and help.

My goal is to help support their cause through donation from working part-time jobs and doing commissions on the side. My progress so far while working with Vector is a slow hard climb; mainly because of my personal fears restricting my success as well as the competition and stress to race against time.. It is a growing process but time is very limited.

I am personally holding a fundraiser to help the NTCR with cheap $10 commissions:

Energy Drain..

It's been almost a week since I started with my new job and I have to say that it's very very different. However, the learning experience is great! I can see my growth from work. Personally, I usually don't talk too much. And when I do talk A LOT, it's mainly to my two childhood best friends (and 彼氏 ♥). My comfort bubble is ranged due to my semi-introverted personality. It's calming in quiet places with usually with only 2-3 people. So being in large groups of people for too long really drains my energy.. especially if all of them are "extra" enthusiastic. This usually leads to stress and exhaustion.

Double Whammy!

Monday morning was an exciting day.. a nervous and happy day. I had two good interviews that day. One I particularly favor and really hope to get. And as for my second interview, it was not particularly on the top of my "want to do" career list. However, it's always a great learning experience, have fun, and make new friends.

Crunch Time Over

The weeks have been flying by as the work towards the end of year and graduation art show time closes in. So much work.. so little time! Definitely a crunch time of sleepless week to get final projects done!!

The crunch time is finally over and the Grad Show is going successfully! Reception night was great, lots of people came to see the show, talk, and just enjoy the gathering of like-minded creative people.

A little late to say "Happy Thanksgiving" but I've been working on school homework, so here's a short silly animation that I've been working on in Flash. I'm not an animator so it's not too great, but I had a lot of fun in the making!

Nuit Blanche 2013

It was the first time I've ever attended Nuit Blanche and had a great experience. It's an interesting event where different exhibitions were displayed and interacted with in downtown Toronto. There were A LOT of people and so line-ups were certainly long, but it wasn't that bad.. However time to time, I felt a bit claustrophobic.. but the weather was decent for October. A relatively warm night with a strong cool wind.. which later brought the rain.

The large crowds of people slowly died down as the night became younger.. around 1-2am. As for my group of friends, we continued to walk to different locations to check out the different displays.. since our work shift doesn't start till 5am. Might as well enjoy ourselves! :D

Super Busy

It's already almost halfway through August and I have to say, it's been quite busy. The compressed course which required roughs to final renders in a day definitely raised the bar on pressure. Not to mention the bad-timing of large projects from other courses altogether increased the stress and decreased the hours of sleep. Not fun.. orz

I'll be posting my works after this week. It's Exam week, so FIGHTING!!!

Summer Break!

It's finally the break and it starts off with a humid rainy day. Time to get some chores done! Washed the cage of my sister's adorable hamsters and did laundry too. Starting break work tomorrow!
