Nuit Blanche 2013

It was the first time I've ever attended Nuit Blanche and had a great experience. It's an interesting event where different exhibitions were displayed and interacted with in downtown Toronto. There were A LOT of people and so line-ups were certainly long, but it wasn't that bad.. However time to time, I felt a bit claustrophobic.. but the weather was decent for October. A relatively warm night with a strong cool wind.. which later brought the rain.

The large crowds of people slowly died down as the night became younger.. around 1-2am. As for my group of friends, we continued to walk to different locations to check out the different displays.. since our work shift doesn't start till 5am. Might as well enjoy ourselves! :D

Google Sketchup

I don't know how many people have used Google Sketchup, however it seems quite easy and once you do get the hang of it, it does get a bit addicting to fiddle with.. as a beginner using the program, I spent quite a lot of time on it just building the simplest of objects. I did turn to tutorials for help though, and sometimes the program itself doesn't want to go your way (haha).

I tried to build a cafe for my first attempt at this program for a class assignment. This is how it turned out~

Faces

This is the first time I've ever used Adobe Illustrator to create images so in the beginning it was VERY frustrating.. and I really hated Illustrator. However, after finishing the first face [which took me 5hrs ; w ;], I slowly got used to the controls and got faster!
