Fundraiser: NTCR!

I have recently found out that THIS YEAR is the North Toronto Cat Rescue (NTCR) shelter's final year before they are booted off the land for a new shopping mall!! They are in dire need of support and help.

My goal is to help support their cause through donation from working part-time jobs and doing commissions on the side. My progress so far while working with Vector is a slow hard climb; mainly because of my personal fears restricting my success as well as the competition and stress to race against time.. It is a growing process but time is very limited.

I am personally holding a fundraiser to help the NTCR with cheap $10 commissions:
  • Word Art/Graffiti - regular | sticker
  • Doodles -  conceptual | train of thought | word art mix
  • Adoptables - mini dragon pet | food & fruits animal pet | species (in progress)

If you are interested in supporting our cause, drop me a message in the comments or email me at inkycats.bt@gmail.com

Thank you so much for your support!

For every commission 20% goes towards the NTCR.

Happy Thanksgiving!

A little late to say "Happy Thanksgiving" but I've been working on school homework, so here's a short silly animation that I've been working on in Flash. I'm not an animator so it's not too great, but I had a lot of fun in the making!

Movie Magic!

It's the first time I have used Adobe After Effects not too long starting to use Flash and it was quite a lot of fun learning. Although in all honesty, I had some trouble understanding how the program worked in the beginning. Here is my first project with one of my Mother Nature/Mother Earth illustration.

Thank you for dropping by!

Work Spam!

It's been awhile since I've shared my work to my readers, so here it is! A little bit of what I have worked on.. and there will be more to come soon.

This is a relatively small maquette of two original chibi characters in Pokemon costumes.
It actually took a lot more time that I thought.. so definitely will layer more paint.

She's Watching You...

A recently finished painting that I really liked how it turned out. Even though it was a rather.. creepy still life, it was good low lighting practice.

It was fun but creepy when I walked by it at night..

Stamp Comic

A recent project that required to use our childhood memories to illustrate a 3-panel comic. However, my childhood wasn't really that great and so I was permitted to use whatever idea that came to mind.

At first the idea that came to mind was very simple. I chose three normal-like characters, a young girl as the daughter, a suited man as the father, and a more meaty man to portray as a butcher you might seen in old cartoons. That's the gist of it.. but as I started to build the story.. it just sorta spiraled into something morbidly dark ^^;;; I hope you enjoyed reading it..haha;; Oh and FYI, read the text as if you're reading manga (right to left)

Many comments after reading:
"Bon, are you ok?" or "Omg... O_O"
Yes, I'm ok.. and I didn't really intend it to go that way..? LOL

Say "Wassup" FINISHED!!

IT'S FINISHED~!!!!!!!!
Medium: Photoshop CS5.1
Time: 20 hours
I have to say I'm really really happy how this turned out and I'd probably want to print this as a poster! And maybe touch it up more with the background painted in too.

Say "Wassup" Pt.3

It's finally coming along and almost done~!!!! Looking at how it's progressing and I just shock myself.. as I've said before, digital painting is not my prowess, so I'm very happy I'm growing in this field. C:
My third wip where I changed the arm to be a wing instead of a paw..

Say "Wassup" Pt.2

Further worked version of my Dragon doodle I posted previously~ I'm not sure how to work that arm though but it says more than just a portrait now compared to the last one, haha!

Thanks for stopping by~

Book Cover WIP..

Book cover concept, work in progress~
My topic: Ancient Kings of Egypt! I chose a controversial Pharaoh, the rein of one of the first female Pharaohs, Hatshepsut. As her history is quite shrouded in mystery due to many of her reliefs being destroyed, I wanted to portray an atmosphere of that mystery into my cover.

Say "Wassup!"

Personally I am not very skilled with how things turn out when I paint digitally, as I'm not as proficient with digital media but I'm surprising myself now.. ; v ;

Here's a quickie~

It's a quick sketch.. WIP. I'll be working on it more and adding more refined details later (eyes, teeth, scales, etc..). Thanks for stopping by!

Silly Creations

One of the newest project for school was a little tough.. I've never drawn caricatures before so I had a little bit of trouble. Thankfully, my classmate gave me some excellent help (you know who you are, thank you so much!!! ♥). She gave me great hints and suggestions as well as demos.

Here's half of my caricature project~ the positive side!

Media: Prismacolor and Copic mix
Time: approx 2.5hrs (most time spent finding/mixing my colors)

It turned out better than I thought I could do...

It's been the first two weeks of school continuing my studies in Independent Illustration. I'm having quite a lot of fun and made some new friends~ C:  Although, I do miss my usual group in first semester.

Here's a preview of one drawing I'm working on.
