Work Spam!

It's been awhile since I've shared my work to my readers, so here it is! A little bit of what I have worked on.. and there will be more to come soon.

This is a relatively small maquette of two original chibi characters in Pokemon costumes.
It actually took a lot more time that I thought.. so definitely will layer more paint.

Master's Painting WIP

A painting study on one of the masters and I chose Matisse since my professor gave me a working hint during my abstract painting class.

Here's what I have so far. ~
The lighting isn't very good so my colors are not showing very well, but I did my best to reproduce the colors.

My study version.

She's Watching You...

A recently finished painting that I really liked how it turned out. Even though it was a rather.. creepy still life, it was good low lighting practice.

It was fun but creepy when I walked by it at night..

IT'S FINISHED~!!!!!!!!
Medium: Photoshop CS5.1

I have to say I'm really really happy how this turned out and I'd probably want to print this as a poster! And maybe touch it up more with the background painted in too.

More Old Work~

In a few of my earlier posts of these works were my WIPs.. I completely forgot to photograph the complete finished pieces!! So, here they are with detail shots too~ c:

Grey-scale still life acrylic painting
I took the photo with natural lighting so the colors look "whiter" than the original.

Emotion in Painting

It's been awhile since I've posted anything new because of many school projects and what-not.. I'll be updating my work (though out of order) as my first semester comes to an end. C:
I hope you enjoy looking through my work~

This was painted in-class with a randomly pulled out 'Emotion' from a jar.

Contours & Painting WIP

Here are some more contour drawings that I did in class. There was a misunderstanding and the model left early, thus we ended up doing contour drawings of still life objects [plants and skeleton].

Life Drawing ~ Contours
Semi-blind 30 minute contour of a rose tree.
Medium: Black fine point pen

Semi-blind 15 minute contour of skeleton.
As you can see it's not proportional lolll!
Medium: Black ballpoint pen
Traditional Illustrative Media ~ Black & White Still Life
I really like this painting that I did versus my in-class.. I will finish this one soon!!
Medium: Black, white acrylics, matte gesso on white mayfair paper
That's all for now~!! C:
P.S. Happy Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year~!!!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!

After a long week's rest and healing my muscle injuries, I returned to school today!! There are quite a few new school mates as well as the older ones I'm familiar with. At school today, I practiced painting French tip on my on own nails, as well as on two models that allowed me to practice the manicure treatment.

During lunch break, I was bored and ended up playing with my friend's toenails. I was randomly painting floral designs on her toes.. which I semi-regret because our mani/pedi teacher saw the design and really liked them. So, in the end she requested me to paint the designs on her toes as well. I was nervous, and I do mean nervous!! So many eyes watching your every stroke! ><;;

I pulled through quite well; wish I took a photo though!! Oh well.. When I finished I was already late because I was in a hurry to head home and my ride home was waiting outside for me. Sorry mom, I love you!

Lets see if I can catch a snapshot tomorrow! C: Teehee
