Midnight Fog

Street lights illuminate the ever dark night

Tiny flickers reflecting off from the heavy mist

Resting afloat whilst hanging low and stubborn

A thick fog creeps..

But tomorrow's dawn breaks the moist air

And warm sun rests high in the afternoon

Ah, very much it still feels like late Autumn

Nature's Power

A loud roar rippled across my home

Making it creak, making it shake..

The trees outside, they sway and bend

As dark clouds stretch..

Ah~ an incoming storm

Moving quick and fast, the winds blow strong

With continuous waves of repeating groans

Flashes of lightning flicker in the night

Is it a thunderstorm?

No, my dear, it's a hurricane

With sweeping winds and flooding rain

Be careful and keep away

Or you'll be crushed and swept

By the merciless tidal wave

Hurricane Sandy is on it's way!!!

White Sky

Grey skies hang low after a day of warm sun

The sky, aglow a dull white..

Branches sway bare in the nipping wind

Leaves softly twirl and rest on the ground

Crunch, crunch, crunch..

Ah, the footsteps of Autumn

Mirror, Mirror

Mirror, Mirror..

Who is this that I see before me?

A beautiful face, yet saddened by fate..

Is it mine?

A kind soul whose worn and tired..

Is it mine?

Lonely eyes with a hardened gaze..

Moonlight Poetry

Cold and hung up high,

The glowing moon sadly waits

With creeping shadows..

Shining so brightly,

It mimics the midnight sun

An alluring sight..

Inspired by tonight's bright moon~

Autumn's Call

Skies, clear and blue with the sun's deceiving smile..

Evergreens and maple trees sway in the caressing winds..

"Parting time has come," coos the lingering glow of Summer

Tiny crystals will soon dance from the clouds..

Everything will soon be blanketed in white slumber..

Merry moments will come again, so do not fret.

Be patient, my dear children, 

Enjoy the last of Summer's breath..

Remember, her warmth will come again.

Lightening Strikes in High Places

It was as if a plough truck drove into my home as thunder roared and shook the house..
Petrified at the sudden quake and explosive boom overhead, I laid still covering my ears..
Whoosh.. down came the rain like waterfalls..
One step outside and you'd be drenched!
A second wave hit the house, and so did several more..
I gathered courage and looked to the sky
Flash.. lightening crackles across the dull morning grey
Slowly I count, 1.. 2.. 3.. 4.. thunder echoed softer..
A gentle sigh.. relief.
The storm has passed.

Water of Life

Flashes of lightening danced across the night sky..
Following close, a gentle roll of thunder echoes in the distance..
Pitter-patter.. Pitter-patter..
Raindrops trickle down the glass window..
Shh..~ Silence..
You can hear the quietest of echoes as the land drinks happily..
The evening's storm brought life and quenched the Earth's thirst.

Evening's Purr

A whispered coo from the heavens echoed in the night

Flashing of sparks ignite the dark clouded sky

Now, a gentle rolling thunder follows the teasing web of electricity

A storm is brewing, migrating..

As fast as it came, the purr left without a tear

Ah, such a silent night..

First Day of Spring

A blanket of thick fog stretched across the horizon, gently caressing the skyline. The cool mist kissed the dawning sun as it wakes and bid good morning. The warm daylight embraced the moist air, silently nudging the night's essence to sleep. It's finally Spring! Winter's long bitter evenings have parted into a deep slumber... until next time, until next time. Good night, dear cold Winter.

Inspired by yesterday morning. The fog was so thick you could hardly see 10ft away from you until the sun came up. It was really cool how the sunlight changed the colors of the fog too. C:

Snow Petals of Late Winter

Icy petals gently dancing.. drifting on the wind. Slowly, they float down.. decorating my hair with white cold crystals. Ah, what a beautiful sight, like flower petals upon the wind. Winter sent her children once again.

Kissing our cheeks with chill.. blanketing the warmth with frozen diamonds. We watch them play, dancing around the trees as they tickle the bare branches. You could hear the wind giggle a teasing song, "We just came to play, please don't send us away"

Cloudy skies and rainy days always bring the gloom.. but not today! Not today.. I stand happy in positivity. The weather won't bring me down. I listen to my favorite song, and sip on something sweet. Nothing but the words, "Fantastic Baby" escape my lips as I jam to the song. Either silently in my mind or boogie in my seat.. So much fun, so much fun.

Rebirth

Everything is finished. The bad is gone. Perish! And now, I start anew.. time for me to be reborn; a new person will all the good shine. Let it last longer than today's warm spring smile. The chime's song will be my reminder.. the warm breath of rebirth.. My rebirth.

I bury my self-hatred, begone! I am not submitting to my darkness.. never again.

Hold your head up high, be proud of yourself for once! You are you. Love yourself more.. The good will shine into the future. Let the darkness die and fade..
Live positively. Remember to smile.. smile from the heart. So close your eyes, take a deep breath.. relax and smile. Just smile.

I sigh a great heart-filled sigh.. my feelings enclosed in a locked box but your presence tugs upon my heartstrings..
Why, my prince? Can't you see how you make my heart flutter? Can't you see how my eyes smile when yours meet mine?
Oh, how clueless are you when you make me blush..
Sigh.. oh, how I yearn to express my love to your ears and whisper my heart's words to you..

Ah, the warm breeze I love so much. It gently kisses my cheeks and swirls my hair.. flirtatiously caressing under my skirt and whispers lovingly in my ear. Sigh.. such play makes my heart flutter. The winter winds do not want to bid their farewell
