Success

Today was exam day and a cold exam day at that.. I walked into school pretty nervous and glad I had some spare time to review my notes! One thing I didn't expect or know, was that for exams, you also have to wear the uniform. And I'm allergic to the material; I got really itchy and my skin just broke out in a rash.

I was really surprised how easy the exam was, and I finished it in less than 25 minutes. I finished so quickly that my mom was surprised. All I really needed to do was take it easy. C:

Exams!

Paper exam this Monday and I'm slightly worried. I have three exams about the theories for the nail and hair since I'm studying as a Nail Technician, I must really know and understand the logic behind it. It won't be too difficult but the practical exam is slightly a bigger hassle.

So, for the time being, practice and more practice. And in the midst of practice, I've been doodling time to time...sorta sketching ideas for other projects.

That's all for now, good night readers. C:

p.s. I hope you will have a happy Halloween!

Nails Part II

My last week of school has ended and funny thing, I have not received my uniform yet. Even if I get my school uniform, I wouldn't want to wear it because the color looks like a surgeon's.. and the material is cheap and scratchy.

Well, I've learned the theories behind the treatment of the hands, feet, and nails. In other words, manicure and pedicure. It was a lot easier than learning the acrylic overlay techniques, and also more fun! I mainly need to complete my practical hours, but being short of models makes the process longer.

It's free service as a model. I wonder why anyone would refuse? It's FREE!! Or perhaps one would doubt the quality of the service because it's given from esthetic students? Well, it's a fair price for free service and pay for professional service.

Arts & Nails

Over the past few weeks, I've taken a diploma course to study as a Nail Technician. In this course, there are three main classes; Nail Extension, Manicure/Pedicure, and Waxing. I've learned both the theories specialized on the anatomy, health, and beauty maintenance of the nail, skin and hair removal.

I may not have followed my dream of becoming an artist specialized in animation. However, as a nail technician, I am still able to express my creativity on a smaller canvas. The fingernail!! C:

Learning and understanding the theories and steps behind the process was actually a lot more difficult than I expected. I never thought there would be so much to learn about for fingernails and hair! It was a challenge, especially with brush control, hand/foot massage and creating simple yet elegant designs.

I'll be working hard!
P.S. And hopefully I get a scanner soon!! I would be more motivated to doodle and then some.. hehe! :P
P.S.S. I'll remember to show some photos of my nail doodles too!!

Stuck In A Game!!

A few nights back I've had a crazy dream involving my sister. In a way, it was rather frightening because of it might happen if it really happened, lol.

It began back to when my sister told me about how she found a bald spot on her head, (this also happened in reality) and she was a little nervous about it. Of course things that usually happen in dreams are reflections of your day and make them into fiction and fantasy. So, what happened was, my sister's bald spot just kept on growing. It started to spread all over her head and she was losing patches of her hair.
