My Bias on Plastic Surgery

[WARNING] I might be ranting a bit.. haha..;;

It's quite disturbing nowadays when I browse about my favorite Korean artists and discover the issue of obsession on this artificial beauty, plastic surgery. The topic has been widely discussed over the web and (likely) over other news articles. Although I am biased about the procedure.. however, I don't oppose it if it provides the individual some kind of health improvement. Whether it be their own psychological health or physical health.. it IS their body after all. For example if fixing your jaw for your teeth to be aligned straight so that you could sing at your best or fixing your nose to help improve nasal breathing problems at night or something. (shrugs)

But then again.. changes just to look "beautiful as so-and-so.." it is a bit sad that one has to turn to surgery to rid their faults; faults that make an individual unique and beautiful in their own way. Of course it's much easier said than done. But comparing oneself to another different individual is not the definition of what is beautiful. You are your own person as well as whom you idolize.

There is a much deeper sense, more philosophical and psychological. You love their fabulous body? Their toned or muscular finesse? Well then, don't just sit there and mope about your own faults, it won't change anything. Get up and work for it! The best "dieting" to do is to commit; change your routine to eating healthy, exercise and  learn to love your own body and your body will reward you.

But anyway, work hard everyone and don't get yourself down. Beauty doesn't last forever so just let it be. Accept your faults and work towards what you can change with healthy eating, exercise, and a positive mind set. Just don't get too narcissistic.
